Warum rostet Metall? Und wie du es dauerhaft davor sch\u00fctzt<\/h2>\n

Ob am Fahrrad, dem Gartenzaun oder der Schraube in der Werkstatt \u2013 fr\u00fcher oder sp\u00e4ter begegnet uns allen das braun-r\u00f6tliche \u00c4rgernis: Rost<\/strong>. Aber was ist Rost eigentlich genau, und wie kann man ihn auf nat\u00fcrliche Weise loswerden \u2013 oder sogar verhindern? Lass uns gemeinsam den Ursachen auf den Grund gehen und einfache L\u00f6sungen entdecken, die wirklich helfen!<\/p>\n

Was ist Rost \u00fcberhaupt?<\/h3>\n

Rost ist mehr als nur ein Sch\u00f6nheitsfehler. Es handelt sich dabei um das sogenannte Korrosionsprodukt<\/strong>, das entsteht, wenn Eisen oder Stahl mit Sauerstoff und Wasser<\/strong> in Ber\u00fchrung kommt. Es bildet sich ein por\u00f6ses Geflecht aus Eisenoxid, das sich ausbreitet und das Metall St\u00fcck f\u00fcr St\u00fcck zersetzt.<\/p>\n

Ohne Wasser kein Rost \u2013 deshalb rostet Metall besonders gern drau\u00dfen, in feuchter Umgebung oder bei hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit.<\/p>\n

Welche Materialien sind betroffen?<\/h3>\n

Vor allem Eisenhaltige Metalle<\/strong>, wie Stahl oder Gusseisen, sind anf\u00e4llig f\u00fcr Rost. Doch es gibt Ausnahmen: Metalle wie Aluminium, Chrom oder Zink<\/strong> bilden beim “Rosten” eine sch\u00fctzende Oxidschicht, die weiteren Schaden verhindert. Ein faszinierender nat\u00fcrlicher Selbstschutz, den Eisen leider nicht besitzt.<\/p>\n

Ist Rost sch\u00e4dlich?<\/h3>\n

Die Antwort: Ja und Nein.
F\u00fcr das Material selbst ist Rost auf Dauer sehr sch\u00e4dlich \u2013 er frisst sich regelrecht ins Metall<\/strong> und schw\u00e4cht es strukturell.
F\u00fcr den Menschen ist Rost nicht gef\u00e4hrlich<\/strong>, zumindest nicht, wenn er im Trinkwasser auftaucht. Die rostbraune Farbe wirkt zwar wenig einladend, aber das Eisen wird vom K\u00f6rper einfach ausgeschieden. Auch f\u00fcr Haustiere ist er in kleinen Mengen unbedenklich.<\/p>\n

Was hilft gegen Rost? Hausmittel & Tricks<\/h3>\n

Es gibt eine ganze Reihe an bew\u00e4hrten Hausmitteln gegen Rost<\/strong>, die du ganz einfach anwenden kannst:<\/p>\n

1. Essig<\/a> oder Zitronens\u00e4ure<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Die S\u00e4ure l\u00f6st Rost und eignet sich besonders f\u00fcr kleinere Gegenst\u00e4nde. Einfach \u00fcber Nacht einwirken lassen und danach abb\u00fcrsten.<\/p>\n

2. Natron-Paste<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Mische Natron mit etwas Wasser, trage die Paste auf und lass sie einwirken. Danach kannst du Rost und Paste einfach abwischen.<\/p>\n

3. Abschleifen<\/strong><\/h4>\n

Mit Schleifpapier oder Drahtb\u00fcrste kannst du oberfl\u00e4chlichen Rost entfernen. Doch Vorsicht: Ohne anschlie\u00dfenden Schutz beginnt das Rosten von vorn.<\/p>\n

Die dauerhafte L\u00f6sung: Rostumwandler<\/h3>\n
